I'm MARRIED to my love, my best friend, my other half! June 7th, 2013 was more of a dream than I could have ever imagined.

It was an absolutely perfect day and I couldn't have been more blessed to celebrate it with friends and family!

One of those days

Today has been a
{no makeup-feel like crap-stay in bed-type}
of day.
I got back from my super fun bachelorette party/trip to the lake yesterday feeling super sick so today my mom took me into the Doctors. Turns out that I have bronchitis and sinusitis. Sheesh... I'm hoping I can be better before the wedding which is in
O N E     W E E K
..............woah............
Besides feeling terribly sick, I am emotional and I feel like I am so unproductive. It sucks. There is still much to do before the big day and time is flying too quickly!
I don't have a voice.
I have a terrible cough, congestion, and headache.
I am tired.
And I'm super sun burnt!
Bless my heart.
But look at this cute little thing I made today for mine and Drew's bathroom.
I can't help but be completely in love with it!!
(sorry for the bare bums)
Well folks that's all for now.
Love,
Kate

I get to marry Drew in 9 days.
I'm getting a little nervous, but I'm super excited as well.
It's definitely a roller coaster of emotions.

Biggest weekend of my life thus far.

Yep, it's true. I'm a college graduate.
I graduated from Southern Utah University on Friday!
I graduated Suma Cum Laude with a general Bachelor of Science degree.
That means I had an overall gpa between 3.8-4.0 and so I was honored with a cool medal that I got to wear that had my name printed on it! Wahoo!
I'll be honest. I was nervous to graduate. I didn't even know what to expect. But it was a fun experience and I am so happy to have accomplished one of my biggest goals:
To graduate from college with a bachelors degree.
I     D I D    IT!
My sweet family came to Cedar for the day to support and celebrate with me! I loved being able to share this wonderful day with them!
Isn't Drew so adorable?
My Dad graduated from SUU 21 years ago and I was just a baby. I think it is so neat that we graduated from the same university!
After the graduation {what seemed like forever} we celebrated by opening presents at Drew's house. Then we went out to dinner with some friends and family.
My cute grandparents gave me a box of crackers and some squeeze cheese. They told me to open the crackers and to share them with everyone. As I opened the package I found a note that said "Congratulations! You are a winner! Pull to see the prize!!"
So I pulled, and pulled, and pulled...
Dollar bill by dollar bill slowly unraveled until I finally found the end of the long strip. It was a clever gift and I loved it!
We drove home to Richfield that evening because the next day we were headed to the Manti Temple.
"I love to see the temple
I'm going there someday
To feel the holy spirit
To listen and to pray
For the temple is the house of God
A place of love and beauty
I'll prepare myself while I am young
This is my sacred duty.
I love to see the temple
I'll go inside someday
I'll covenant with my father
I'll promise to obey
For the temple is a holy place
where we are sealed together
As a child of God I've learned this truth:
A family is forever"
I am so happy to say that I can sing that song with all my heart, knowing that those words are true. I made it to the temple! Another huge goal of mine!!!

Early Saturday morning I drove up to Manti with Drew, my mom & dad, and our friend Taylor. I needed to be to the temple at 9 am.
Some of our family got to be with me in the temple. It was an absolutely beautiful day! I love the temple and I can't believe that my goal of going there someday finally came true! I can't wait to go again! As we were all dressed in white, I couldn't help but imagine what heaven will be like. It was so beautiful. I am so happy to be able to know that we can be with our families for all eternity!
Oh & not to mention how excited I am to be sealed to Drew. I can't wait to be his for ever and ever. And I can't wait for my siblings to go to the temple someday! Ah I absolutely love it and I love the gospel.
~Anyways~
By the time we were done and on our way home, I was completely exhausted.
Later that evening we celebrated with friends and family!
I enjoyed being around all of my loved ones and it meant so much to have their support!
Drew & his friend Taylor are so funny together. I love how tall Taylor is and how small he makes Drew look. [I'm sure you can guess what they were doing in these pictures.]
Look how cute my sweet grandparents are! Oh and let's not leave out my cute dad in the background!!! I love these people!
We decorated in black and red to represent SUU! Wahoo!
It was definitely a weekend worth celebrating!!!

And this is how I feel about it all.

PS. I graduate from SUU on Friday with a bachelors degree, and then I'll go through the temple on Saturday!! We'll celebrate later that evening back in Richfield.
What a weekend it will be!!!

I've always dreamed of toms.

This past week has been crazy! I have been so busy. I honestly can't even remember any of it.
First of all, I got my temple recommend and set a date for my temple endowment. I helped design my wedding announcements. And I attended my second bridal shower on Saturday in Cedar! It was held by Linda, Drew's mom, and it was an absolutely beautiful day! She definitely knows how to throw a party and wow, I am so lucky to have the best in-laws ever!
And the best fiance ever.
And the best family ever.
And the best friends ever.
I loved being able to spend the day with my family and my best friend Tiana! And it was especially fun to see Drew for a couple minutes before he had to go to work. (I hadn't seen him for a week.. and I won't see him again until tomorrow up in Manti when we take our Bridals!! We're doing a "dress reveal" picture. I'm excited!)
I got my dress and I got my shoes. TOMS. Yep, I'm wearing toms with my wedding dress. Wahoo!
I also made my bouquet and boutonnieres this past week.
Yay for marriage and wedding prep!
And let's not forget about the temple. I cannot wait for this next weekend!!!
Manti here I come!

Kate

Engagements are HERE

They're finally here! Our engagement session was a blast. We met our photographer (my cousin Abbey from AK Studio & Design) down in St. George early in the morning. Although it was freezing, the pictures turned out beautiful!
Check them out here.
Aside from that, there is lots going on in the next couple weeks! Another bridal shower, our bridal photography session, SUU graduation, and my temple endowment! So stay tuned.

Kate

First bridal shower

My sweet aunts threw me a bridal shower on Saturday! It was so much fun and turned out to be great! The decorations were adorable, there was delicious food, and of course we were constantly surrounded by wonderful people.
All I can say is that I am so
b  l  e  s  s  e  d!
So here's a big THANKS to all who have contributed to this shower and to all those who were able to share this fun experience with me!

54 days

Hello! I'm just about to leave for Cedar this afternoon. We have engagement pictures next Wednesday in St. George and so I'm going down to spend a few days with Drew until then! Of course he works a bunch before then, but it will be okay. We'll go down to St. George either Monday or Tuesday and while we're down there we'll have a lot to do! We have to look for an apartment to live in and I need to apply to a few places for work.
I also get to pick up a flower crown that a friend of mine is making for me to wear for my bridals.
I am so excited for that!
So anyways, that's where I'll be the next few days.
Until then, happy April!
Love,
Kate
ps. I got shellac nails and I love them. That's all.

ps. sloths are my absolute favorite animal, and if you'd like to read more about my zoo experience, head on over to my new blog.

A trip with Tiana!

The day after Easter my best friend Tiana invited me to come down to St. George with her for a couple days. It was well needed! I loved spending time with her and catching up with her. It's tough living away from each other, but it's SUCH a blessing that when we do get together everything is as if nothing has ever changed.
That goes for these girls as well! We met up with Whitlee and Candace and stayed at their cute house that night. We went out to dinner and then ended the night by riding go carts and playing miniature golf and arcade games at Fiesta Fun. It was a blast!
Drew and his friend Taylor drove down from Cedar for the evening as well as Candace's boyfriend. It was a night full of laughter and competition! We all loved it!

Vitamin C explains my feelings perfectly in her song titled, Graduation:
"As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever"

I love these girls and they will always be some of my best friends!

Kate

Easter happenings

We had a mini Easter egg hunt while we were at Castle Rock.
Easter morning! The Easter bunny found us!
I got a sweet bean bag toss game! Well... it's for me AND Drew and I was so excited about it! It's a lot of fun.

Our family is pretty crazy sometimes. Kinsley was sick so my dad helped her out during our traditional family Easter egg hunt around the house.
Ready, set, GO!
Later we decorated eggs. That was a fun time.

 Kambry's face.
I decided to be a little creative and I drew a sloth and an ostrich!
We just put up our new trampoline in our backyard so now we have two for the time being!
No tramp will ever compare to our old tramp which easily exceeds over 25 years of existence and being bounced upon.
To end our fun-filled Easter day, we went up to the traditional "heck hill" and rolled our eggs down the hill.
 llama.

But to be honest, we rarely roll them. Instead, we throw them or shoot them with guns. Ha ha... Oh the traditions of Richfield.
We love our traditions though and the people that we share them with!!
I can't wait for next year when Drew will be able to join us. Unfortunately he was in Cedar this weekend for work.
But hey, 67 days until our family changes forever!
Happy Easter, and don't forget why we celebrate it!
Love,
Kate
