"I'll Walk Around Like Noah's Ark"

So... I have a problem. A new addiction.... a $0.98 addiction. I found it in Walmart the other day and I've already finished the bag. Pathetic I know! (okay, okay, so I had the help of my roomates to finish the bag off, but still!) I don't know why they're so good, they just are. A N I M A L  C R A C K E R S!

"when they're inside me where it's dark, I'll walk around like Noah's Ark." -- I sing that song every single time I eat them! Oh they're so great.. so simple, so funny looking, so delicious.
Thats not my only problem though. I simply love cookies. All kinds! Cookies are definitely one of my weaknesses in life, that is for sure. Give me a glass of milk and a plate of cookies and they will be gone in no time. I bought myself some chips ahoy chewy chocolate chip oatmeal cookies as well and they were delish. Too bad they're already gone...

Everytime I go to work, I am greeted by my good friend Seisel Jorgensen. He says "KATELIN JENSEN! How are ya!?" every single time, accompanied by a big hug! He is the grandfather figure in my life when I am down here at Cedar away from my real grandpas! He has horses and lost his wife 25 years ago, so he wants me to come out & ride his horses someday soon:) He has a silver watch with turquoise on it that I absolutely LOVE. His wife gave it to him and he wears it every day:)

SUU's men's basketball coach loves me I think. He is very large in stature (tall) and his hands are probably twice the size of mine! (He gave me a high-5 once) But anyways, one day he decided to come sit by me at the top of the Centrum during the girls' bball game and just began talking to me. Found out he played on a college bball team New Mexico. He is super nice and funny. He was sitting by me because he was trying to get away from everyone and get some of his nerves out because the boys' game was next. Anyways! Tonight he saw me and waved very enthusiastically. Then later he randomly gave me a HUGE hug! It made me laugh, so then I texted Tiana to tell her and she told me that I have weird relationships with old people.. hahaa... :)

Institute was very spiritual today... all we did was watch the testimant movie, but when Christ appeared to "the other sheep of his fold" it just was very touching! I love the gospel, I love Jesus Christ, and I am sooo grateful for him, his love, the atonement, and the wonderful blessings that I receive from the gospel. I feel his love and use it as my strength every single day. The gospel makes me so happy, it is what I live for!

I'm grateful for my life and everything I experience. I learn and grow from even the tiniest things that happen. I am constantly learning to love... love people, love life, love the little things, etc. I love learning; even if I have to experience a trial or bump in the road, I am thankful for that experience because I learn and grow from it. How I react and deal with it shapes me into the person I want to become.

Three words that can save your life: NO WAY JOSE! Trust me, I would know. If you'd like to know the complete detailed story, just ask me. But honestly those three words can be very helpful for when you are in an awkward situation. :)

I have to give credit to my wonderful roomate Tiana for encouraging me to make new posts. I promise I will try to become a good blogger! Updating pictures, stories, experiences, and life-lessons that I learn. I will honestly try! Not gonna say I won't fail, because I just might. But I really will try!

Tiana and I have an hour until we have to go to work at the basketball games. Funny things happen there ALL the time! I will be sure to record anything funny that happens and post it on here if it is worth posting.

But since we have to go in an hour, Tiana being the kind person she is, is boiling us some eggs to eat for dinner tonight! She's so nice.

Tomorrow night has a lot of things going on so I"m excited! The institute is putting on a Sadie Hawkins dance (girls' choice), J.wride is coming to perform (he is a singer), and there is a thing called the "Step Show" going on as well. I guess it is like the movie "Stomp the Yard" and has to do with people doing dance offs and what not. All these activities are going on at the same time which sucksss because I would like to go to all of them. Funny story-- I actually asked a kid to go to Sadies with me and he agreed. Well come to find out, last night he told me he was playing in a band and they are going to open for J.wride and that I better be there! (Okay...? So does this mean he forgot about Sadies? Or he's just blowing it off..? haha gosh he's a crazy kid.) Oh well, Tiana, Alyssa, and I will have fun no matter what!

Gotta get ready for work now. joy.

Grass is grass.

Ever heard of the grass being greener on the other side? Other side of what, the fence? Well either way.. no matter where you stand, you gotta take care of the grass by mowing it, watering it, and fertilizing it  or else it will turn ugly and die. For those who are a crayon short of the box, (aka Tiana) this means that you gotta make the best out of everything you have! Enjoy life as you have it. :)

I love that saying... grass is grass! Plain and simple. It reminds me to make the best out of what life gives me.

Well I am new to this blog stuff so this is me sitting on my floor trying to figure out how it all works. Its a great thing to be in college. Let me tell you... somedays life is SO chill. Other days... not so chill. So I take for granted those days that are chill by waisting them away on the computer. Not smart. But hey its okay. Life is good.
