This is what we do.

This is what's uppppp.. Me T and Fenja have way too much fun in our class that we have together. (Fenja is my roommate btw for those of you who didn't know and I love her to death!)
We really do have a too much fun.
 But we love it!
This pic on the other hand was from last weekend. We created "Pangea" by placing our mattresses together out in the family room. We had some fun jumpin around on'm and taking pictures as you can see.
  Sooo much fun :)

These girls are some of my BEST friends! I couldn't be more blessed to have ladies like these in my life! <Tiana, Kylei, Alyssa, and Myself>
This is all of us again right before the Howl! SUU's big Halloween dance. We dressed up as fairies and all created our own skirts! It was fun to buy the material and to create our own individual skirts with each skirt having similarities as well as major differences.

We also had glitter EVERYWHERE although you can't tell in the pictures. But it was awesome!
Our great friends Joey (aka the Joker) and Spence [Budd] (aka Two-Face) joined our crew and we headed off to the Howl.
Tanner and Ben came to the Howl also! They were dressed up as "Ceiling Fans" ha ha it was very creative!
This is my beautiful best friend Tiana Belle.
This is handsome Two-Face Budd and my cheesy self.
Budd's costume was SO creative! He made it all himself too! It was awesome. It seriously blew my mind. Anyways, he won the Institute costume contest and got two movie tickets and a gift certificate to the Pizza Factory--- he asked if I'd like to join him for a date sometime next week! :) Can't wait!

Life is great! I love it. And here is a special treat. This is what me t and lyss do for fun when we have Cydney's mac. She's going to find it a great surprise when she opens her computer!

Today is my cute little brother Konner's birthday and he is turning nine! He's getting so old I can't believe it. I was put on speaker today with my family as they carved pumpkins. I wish I could be home during these fun times/traditions/experiences but I know that I am suppose to be here in Cedar. I'll be going home in two weeks though! This will be the longest I've stayed in Cedar without going home! Ha ha! four weeks!

For the Beauty of the Earth

Art Aesthetics
I have an eye for beauty and for color. I find beauty in everything and I enjoy looking for the beauty in things. I lose myself when I pick up a paintbrush and create different strokes along the paper. I just simply love art and I love to create.
I love to feel the sunshine kissing my cheeks on a warm summer day. I spend a lot of my time during the summer outside. I love feeling the heat of the sun, even if it is extremely hot. The warmth of the sunshine fills my soul with peace and comfort and I feel loved.
I find joy in the little things in life. Rainstorms that range from mild to intense that include different rhythms and beats excite me because not only do I find them to be nature’s work of art, but I also find them to be creative musicals.
I like hearing the rumbling thunder and seeing the colorful thunder clouds roll above my head. I feel like the thunder is alive. I see the beauty of the colors in the clouds and I feel like I’m watching some unseen being paint the sky right before my eyes.
I love seeing bright rainbows that peak through the sky and the clouds after the rain clears. If there wasn’t any rain, there would never be any rainbows. This reminds me that without trials and hardships in our lives, we wouldn’t be as appreciative of the joyful and beautiful things in life.
I love feeling the autumn breeze on my face and the leaves crinkling beneath my feet as I reach up to pick a crisp and delicious yellow apple. When I bite into an apple, or when leaves crinkle beneath my feet, I realize the amazing process of nature’s harvest.
When I see the colorful fall leaves of the trees in October, I am reminded of the beauty of the earth and am filled with joy knowing that the holidays are growing near. I love seeing the colors change from bright green to dusty brown and it reminds me that there is a time and season for everything in life.
Whenever a snowflake lightly floats down from the sky on a winter night, I look up and am in awe. I find each delicate and neatly designed snowflake beautiful and when the ground is covered in a white blanket of these snowflakes, I think of how grateful I am to live in such a beautiful world.
When I wrap up into a warm blanket and sip hot chocolate I am filled with joy and I think of how blessed I am and what a beautiful life I live.  It’s comforting to me and relaxing to be able to sip my favorite warm drink and to cuddle up in a warm blanket, especially when it’s cold outside. I love to just lay back and breathe in the beauty of a moment.
The melodic sounds of the keys being pressed on a piano fills my soul with a joy that I can’t describe. The sound of a piano makes me smile. I can feel the emotion that the pianist is feeling. I’ve always been able to express my emotion through playing the piano and I have always had a love for it. It means a lot to me and not only do I love playing it, but I love listening to people play as well.
When I hear the soft strumming and finger picking of an acoustic guitar the magical sounds of the strings fill my soul with warmth and happiness. As I listen to the sound of the guitar being played I feel like a fire is lit in my heart. Chills run down my arms and I lose myself in the beauty of the music.

This is just an assignment I had to do for art and it made me think... life is beautiful and I should share this with others! Enjoy.

Kate

Love Me Some Apples :)

I got to go to the orchard with my family last weekend and we spent the afternoon picking apples. It was soooo fun. The weather was beautiful, the people I was with are great, the trees were a work of art with colorful apples dangling from them. Aw it was just such a gorgeous experience. I was so happy.
Anyways, right before we left, Kambry found a tree with GIGANTIC apples on it! So we each got one. Seriously these apples were HUGE. Bigger than softballs!
So the other day Kam texted me and told me that she was eating her giant apple and that it was delicious. She also sent me a pic of her eating it ha it was really funny. So later I decided to eat mine too and document my experience as well.
I sent these pics to her...
...and then about ten minutes later it was gone.
I tore that apple to pieces! It sure was delicious! And it filled me right up! haha:)

Well anyways, let me just share a few things that I've been up to lately!
LIFE IS SO GOOD.
I have the best friends in the entire world. We have so much fun together and we just all love eachother so much.
I am so blessed. I truly am. I am so lucky to have Tiana, Kylei, Alyssa, and Fenja as friends/roommates. I love those girls so much. They're all amazing and we have tons of fun together.
I also love the Taco Boys! (Budd, Joey, Bryan, and Bryce) We're all like family. I can't describe the love I have for alllllll of my friends!
See why I just love'm all?
Can't wait for this next week-- the HOWL! It's going to be a blast.

Love,
Kate

Quicky Update

I haven't blogged for a while. I feel like a slacker. So much has been going on. Life is so busy full of fun and activities, friends and loved ones, school and homework, and responsibilities and relationships. It's hard to stay on top of everything.
Not to mention blogging... I am not sure of what to even post.
I am home for the next couple days for my "Fall Break" but then I'll be back on my way to Cedar again before I know it.
I love October. This month is full of beauty.
I am tired...
All the time.
But it's fine!
Here are some pics:
This is me, Konner, Kinsley, and Kambry at Fishlake (General Conference Weekend)

I drew this on the way home from Richfield a few weeks ago. Ha:) It's some of my besttttt friends! It's me, Budd, T, Joey, and Lyss.
LOVE them all!
Kam and I had a doctors appointment in Richfield a few weeks ago. We weren't too excited... haha just kiddin! My mom was able to join our company and that hour that we spent in that tiny little doctor's room waiting for the doc to come in to talk to us was definitely memorable. We sang songs, acted goofy, and laughed until we almost cried. I love my sister and my mom sooooo much!

This is all three of us laughing our heads off :)
I went up to South Jordan for a couple days last weekend and spent some time with my friend Ryan Hardy. This is a pic of us at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. I love that area up there!

This is me, a girl named Chelsea, and my good friend Tanner McAllister. We went to this place in Orem called the "Roll Up" and it's my new favorite place ever! It's a crepe diner! It's so cute and it's sooo delcious. I love crepes. :) Ps. Tanner got his mission call to Leeds, England! Aw man I'm so excited for him! He's going to be a great missionary! Love that kid.
Ha this pic was taken at the first of the year, but this is my friend DJ. I love this kid! He's like my little brother.
And this is our group up at Fishlake... such a fun, fantastic experience!

Kate

Brand New Day

"Gotta fall in order to mend..."
It's such a true statement. It's incredible. I think I may be falling more and more everyday, but I know for a fact that I am definitely being mended.
I am happy... because well...
there's this boy. I call him Budd.
 We fly high.
 Sometimes we're cheesy.
 We bake pies.
 He's quite the cook!
And he likes to embarrass me. But it's fine. He's cute so I guess it's okay ;)
He's becoming one of my best friends.

He taught me how to drive manual!
We've gone to the gym to lift weights together ha.
We can talk for hours.
He gives me butterflies.
And he makes my heart flutter.
I can't help but smile when I think about him or when I see him.
We enjoy being together.
It's soooo interesting.
But I am happy.
Just so you all know.

:)

Kate

Zebra TOMS

My friend Brielle Turner is getting married on 11/11/11 and asked me if I would draw some zebra stripes on plain white TOMS shoes for her and her cousin for the wedding. She ordered them online and had them shipped to me here in Cedar City! I took them home to Richfield and was able to finish them over my Fall Break last weekend.
It was fun to do! I love being able to do things for people and I absolutely LOVE to be creative!

Can't wait to see her wear them!

Love,
Kate
